Rob Irons is a native of Florence, AL. He received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education in 1993 from the University of North Alabama and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazerene University. He is completing his 32nd year teaching in Hardin County. He is married and has one daughter.

Rob spent 11 years in the US Army Reserve, Sheffield, AL. He served as Platoon Leader, Executive Officer and Commander for the 336th AG Co. (Postal) . The 336th was activated December 3rd, 1990 and deployed to the Gulf in support of Desert Sheild/Storm. They provided mail services for units assigned to the 18th Airborne Corps.
